Shiloh Building Project
Help Us Get our Own Space
The Why
In 2017, Shiloh began consistently running a mentorship program called Connections. Since 2018, we have hosted weekly large and small group events as well as one-on-one mentorship opportunities for those who attend our summer camps. Our drop-in events are held across the City of Edmonton in space we either rent or is loaned to us. The Connections program has become so successful and vital to the Shiloh community that we see a significant need for a permanent space to run our year-round program. This will also allow us to expand our programming and serve children and youth who may not yet have attended Shiloh’s summer camp.
The How
In order to facilitate this growth now and over the long-term we are looking for a building, within a residential neighbourhood on a bus route and ideally around schools. The space we are aiming for would meet the needs of weekly food preparation and serving, weekly drop-in programming, large group gatherings and space for small groups and a life skills development program. The ideal building would allow us to meet increased demand and will be a major source in conjunction with summer camps to achieve our mission:
Shiloh aims to engage our children and youth with life-changing experiences and mentorship that leads them to grow in community and relationship with Jesus but also aligns with our four core values:
Unconditional Love
Passion for Jesus
Building relationships
Engaging experiences
The Need
We need many passionate people to come alongside us to help us achieve this next step. It is our goal to go into this project as debt free as possible. Our fundraising goal is $1,000,000 and we currently have a committed amount of $750k. We see this space reaching over 600 kids and youth each year and we need your help to get there.
